GDS at Startup Hub
Jul 27, 2024
GDS was on site at Startup Hub Romania’s “New generation, new opportunities” event, where our co-founder Zoltan spent the day with local entrepreneurs exchanging hands-on experience about how companies are built and grown in practice.
The roundtable, held during the Tusványos Summer University and Student Camp, focused on very concrete questions: how founders use available EU funding, where early plans usually break down, and what tends to become a real problem once a business starts to grow.
The discussion moved between concrete examples and broader questions about growth and funding. Zoltan brought in perspectives from GDS’s international market entry work, including the Green Way Polska expansion, while other participants shared their own experiences from building and running companies in the region. The conversation quickly turned into a practical exchange about what helps companies move forward and what tends to slow them down.
For GDS, the real value of these discussions lies in connecting theory with practice. Hearing how companies deal with funding, growth, and cross-border expansion in real conditions helps us refine how we approach market entry and strategy work. This continuous feedback loop is what allows us to support clients with decisions that are not only well-structured, but also tested against real market experience.
